Slip Resistant Flooring
Certain properties require slip resistant flooring for safety and regulation reasons. Buffalo Epoxy Flooring offers superior flooring systems that include slip resistant features.
Epoxy floors are a textured finish that is made with small, natural marble stones. This flooring system is slip-resistant and sometimes, in cases of commercial kitchen, additional grit can be added to the glaze coat. The kind of application will determine what level of slip-resistance is needed.
Dry Environment Flooring
Epoxy floor texture is a result of marble chips which give it a coarse, pebbled, and non-abrasive surface area. If the area is not going to be wet a majority of the time there will be no need for additional material because the natural texture of the flooring will provide the non-slip properties.
Wet Environment Flooring
In areas where the floor will be frequently wet, a non-slip additive is put with the glaze coat in order to make the floor more like sandpaper when installing epoxy flooring. By adding more grit to the final coat the floor will have excellent protection against slipping and falling even when wet.
Commercial Kitchen Flooring
When it comes to commercial kitchens the flooring plays a very important role in terms of safety and superior sanitation. Grease and oil are often splashed and spilled in kitchens and this creates a safety hazard, putting employees at risk for falling. We have epoxy flooring solutions that feature non-slip properties so you can ensure your staff is safe at all times.
